6/11/20 Amazing: 77 views and no takers. I hoped someone from Atlassian would chime in...not even @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- replied. I was sure Nic would have an answer.
2 days after my post: Any ideas at all? Is this a stupid question? Am I doing something dumb?
Jira Server 8.9.0 on Win10
I’m exporting a Jira project w/attachments from 1 instance and importing into another Jira instance. Both projects have the same name: Project_2 and Key: PROJ02.
I copied the attachments file from the source instance location and pasted it into the exact location on the destination instance:
C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Jira\data\attachments\PROJ02
The complete path to the individual attachments is:
C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Jira\data\attachments\PROJ02\10000\PROJ02-2
where you will find attachments 10102, 10103 and 10104
The contents from the unedited csv export file for 10102 is:
06/03/2020 02:19 PM;jmalgieri;proj02 attach 5.txt;http://localhost:8080/secure/attachment/10102/proj02+attach+5.txt
I’ve tried editing the cell to be
06/03/2020 02:19 PM;jmalgieri;proj02 attach 5.txt;file://10102/proj02%20attach%205.txt
and everything in between but I cannot get the attachments to link up/import into the project. I either get a parsing error or an error telling me the file “cannot be found or it is unreadable”
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
