Hey I want to disable to the default value for one of the Custom filed because which is breaking my current work flow,\.

How can i do that in jira

To disable the default value on Company-managed projects, please go to:

1. Jira settings > Issues.
2. In the Fields section, click Custom Fields. 
3. Find the custom field you want to configure and click on the three dots > Contexts and default value.
   
4. Under the "Default Configuration Scheme section," click on Edit Default Value
    
5. Set the value as none and click on Set Default.
   

With the above steps, you can disable the default value for your custom field.

Hi @Priyanka , below are the steps to follow to do this. Please note that if this field is used in other projects, then you will be impacting those other projects which might be depending on that default, so please check with your other users accordingly.

1. click on the system settings COG icon
2. click on Issues
3. select Custom fields in sidebar
4. search for your custom field
5. click on the ellipses ... and select Context and default value
6. Click on edit default value

Oh... The above is for CMP projects if you are using a TMP projects, then use the following steps:

1. click on project settings 
2. select issue types
3. select the issue type that is using the field
4. click on the field and clear the default
