Hey team, i need help here I'm struggling to create a dashboard showing Historic view of Scrum team performance how many points a team signs up for, how many stories vs bugs, burn down chart etc? I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to track performance of a team over time.
I currently have the sprint health chart . But i want something similar for previous performance.
Hi @Koso Odume ,
Unfortunately that's not possible in Jira right now, like you've already seemed to have discovered.
You could of course keep a record of these data points yourself as a way of keeping some kind of overview. But that's pretty labor intensive and prone to mistakes. Another option would be like @Ralpf james mentions, namely pulling the data out of Jira and into a different reporting tool.
If you're open to exploring other opportunities I would love to suggest TeamX, which is our (Umano's) Team performance guidance tool and which does exactly what you want: providing you with over 20+ metrics on your team performance compared to your team history + giving you guidance on how to improve your team performance in a sustainable way. You can even set up a free trial if you want.
Disclaimer: I do work at Umano, although I wouldn't recommend our tool unless I believe it would be of use for you :)
Cheers,
Peter
I have been using jira dashboard for a while now, however there is no way to create a historical burn-down but you could get the current sprint burn-down just not previous performance. I have a task to historic view of scrum team performance. Like burn-down from the last 5 sprint.

Hi @Koso Odume,
You can easily create such dashboard by using our Great Gadgets app.
The Team Velocity chart displays the amount of Story Points committed vs realized for past sprints, the Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD) can display the amount of issues or story points allocated to stories or bugs in time, the sprint and release burndown chart gadgets display the burdown at the sprint or entire release level, and many more.
Have a look over the article on our blog to make a better idea about what to track and how: How to track multi-team or scaled-agile projects (such as SAFe®) in Jira with Great Gadgets app

Thank you,
