JQL Searching

Why can I not do basic searches in JQL on the data available?

For example:

- I cannot find all issues where Links is EMPTY, or not EMPTY.

- I cannot find all issues where linkType = "relates"

Everything I look up says a 3rd party plugin is required.

This is absolutely ridiculous.  This is basic stuff that should be included in a commercial product that gets a large sum of money from our organization and many other organizations.

Hi @Brad Hasha

As of now you would need an add-on, like Scriptrunner for example. You are correct.

There is an open issue at Atlassian https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-25640

Cheers
Niklas

Funny how the issue linked within that one addressing this issue has been in the system since 2011.

There has been 7 years to add this known request in.  Something that should have existed to begin with anyway.
