Running JIRA Server 8.5.x and have ScriptRunner installed. I have a custom field (Select List (single choice)) shared across multiple projects. One of the project administrators is asking for the custom field to have a few of the options hidden during issue creation (or anytime within the project). Is that possible?

Custom field Select List (single choice): Location

Options:

  • Work
  • Home
  • Travel
  • Business
  • Personal

I would like to hide Business & Personal from the single jira project.

Thanks!

Hello @Mike , you can create a custom field context which will help you select a  default value and edit options, as well as which issue types or projects the custom field appears in. Is this something you are looking for ?

Hi @Mike

I would recommend you take a look at the Interactive Playground: https://www.oldstreetsolutions.com/jira-reporting-playground, we've created simple enough a hide segment to display/hide issues within reports. It's great to know that we are running Scripted Number Fields.
