Hide a custom Custom field while creating issue

Hi All,

Is there a way to hide a Custom field while creating an issue?

The problem is we're having  a single select option for a field and we want to convert it into a Multiselect field, there are no direct options since that field contains lots of data, we don't want to lose them.

What I'm thinking, I'll create a new Multi Select field with the same options and Hide the old one from users.

If anyone suggest a best way I'd appreciate it.

You can do this using  field configuration or can also Remove it from issue screen.

For Issue screen, directly remove it from screen.

For Field configuration

Select project related field configuration then search the custom field by name and there would be an option to hide/show. Click on hide and it will not reflect during Issue creation screen.

How many options are in the single select?

You can always remove the single select field from the create screen.
