Hide drop down field value based on logged in user

Hi,

I am using "JIRA Cloud" with script runner plugin. I am not able to find Behaviors on the same

I want to hide drop down values to specific groups.

Example: I have field called "City" with drop down values "ABC" & "PQR" and I have groups called "Group A" & "Group B"

Now, if user who part of the "Group A" creating new issue, then the drop down filed "City" will only see the value "ABC", similarly,  if user who part of the "Group B" creating new issue, then the drop down filed "City" will only see the value "PQR"

Best regards,

Sid

Hello Siddhesh,

Unfortunately, Scriptrunner Behaviours is not available for JIRA Cloud yet.

Although a new feature request was opened to implement a way to restrict custom field options based on another field, it doesn't have a relevant number of votes and was closed as "Won't Do":

Restrict Select Custom Field values

That been said, I'm afraid there are no options on JIRA Cloud to implement this now. We can only wait for the Implementation of Scriptrunner Behaviors on JIRA Cloud.

Let me know if there is anything else we can help with, Siddhesh.

Thanks Petterson,

Is there any other way where I can add validator in workflow for these drop down field value? I can do this using script validator in server, but any other way in Cloud version?

Regards,

Siddhesh
