Hi folks,
we want to hide fields and field values in a certain status in Jira Software Cloud.
Any recommendations?
Big thanks in advance!
Br,
Omid
Hi All,
I have a use case to hide field values for a ProfForma form that I'm building for a Data Center JSM project. There are five high-level request types to start the form, and each of the requests have specific type of work related to the request.
The team that will be fielding the requests only need to report on the type of work. It would make sense to be able to link one 'Type of Work' custom field that has the values for all the request types, and conditionally show only the values related to the request selection. I don't want to have to create four additional custom fields as a workaround.
I'd appreciate any other suggestions.
@Omid H. I noticed you mentioned Jira Software, Forms/ProForma are not available in Software yet. There are changes we want to make before it ships to this product.

Hi Omid,
There is no funcationality in Jira Cloud that will hide fields or make fields mandatory depending on the value of another field.
You can hide fields to a certain degree using ProForma Forms which should be available for your instance now.

Thank you for your response.
Case:
Based on a select list single choice value several fields you appear/disappear to make it user friendly for the clients
For example in create screen if I select "option A" field "Customer" should appear, but if I select "option B" field "customer" should disappear, but field "Service Request" should appear.

Hi @Omid H.
Fields are displayed on issue when they are added to view screen. You cannot conditionally show/hide them based on status.
What is your use case? There might be another way to achieve your requirements.
