Hiding Project Reindex

Hi All,

I tried to look into this and all I was able to find is that archived projects are not included in Re-Indexing.

For the way our data center is configured it has been recommended to not re-index Jira projects directly but only to reindex the entire instance. As such we have automated this process and do not have a need to do project reindex except for potentially system admins in an extreme case.

Is there a way, even if using scriptrunner or some other development (even custom), to hide the project reindexing from within the project menu? Or to lock it down to jira-system-administrators only?

Hi Clark,

No, there's no way to hide the project re-index function.  Behaviours only works on issue-related screens, not admin ones.
