Hello,
We are still at the beginning phase of using Jira. We have a few projects created in Core and I have also created confluence spaces for each project. Before we move all of our projects from MS Project into Jira, I want to make sure we are setting things up properly.....
Our management and sales departments would like to see high level reporting on all of our active projects....We need reporting on the overall status of all our projects and also some resource reporting so that we can plan properly for future projects.
Can this be done? If so, how do I go about setting this up.
Each Core project in Jira will have its own set of default reports you can run on data in that respective project. More details on this are in Reporting - Atlassian Documentation - Jira Server Core.
If those reports are not what you are looking for, or you're looking for higher level information, or another way to organize this, that guide does provide some more information here
- Additional reports (e.g. Gantt Chart Report, Timesheet Report, JIRA SQL Plugin) are available for download from the Atlassian Marketplace.
There are several options in Marketplace in regards to plugins to Jira that can help with reporting or creating custom reports on your Jira data as well.
First of all you need to define what is an active project. Secondly, you need to define what a project status is. But I think you need an add-on to get the required info. You can have a look at EazyBi or any other reporting plugins.

@Alexey MatveevThank you for suggesting eazyBI as a possible solution!
@Kaye Taupmann, if you are interested in more information about eazyBI app for Jira, please see our documentation page, and some example reports. Any questions welcome!
