Hi, i am looking to do a snapshot on a certain date in order to then use that data to compare to data from today.
For example, say I have a KPI of items I planned up until a certain date and based on various fields, and today I want to know what is my current status.
So looking at Epics, which Epics I planned for the next quarter (based on custom field and created date) and where do i stand right now (status closed and from that snapshot). So say if my delivery KPI is 70% delivery of what i planned, i want to see how i am doing month to month.
Can ScriptRunner give me that snapshot? If yes, how, and if no, what else do u suggest?
And which KPI tool do you recommend that works well with Jira?
Hi Metal,
As an alternative to building your own script runner, Umano.tech's Team Performance Summary offers predefined agile metrics that provide deeper insight into your delivery team's practices. Performance can be viewed as Snapshot (updated daily), Interval, or across the life time of a team's project, enabling teams to observe their trajectory and what experiments or events are impacting their delivery practices over time.
Connecting Jira will unlock your design & build practices and relevant metrics (providing insight into your team's delivery attributes such as speed, stability, completion rate, progress) as well as feed your team engagement metrics (measuring things like your team's responsiveness and the balance of online communication across members within the project).
Connecting Slack or Mattermost will enhance the insights into your team's engagement practices and relevant metrics.
Connecting Bitbucket will unlock insights into your team's review practices and relevant metrics, including review speed, time to merge (including approvers) and PR size.
Regarding Umano's snapshot lens, our customers particularly value the ability to self-compare their current performance relative to their usual (rolling median for the last 6 intervals) performance. We also surface the underlying drivers as context to why a team may be above or below it's usual rate of performance.
Also, snapshot reports can be exported simply as an email.
We run a 30 day free trial, and will populate your project space with 12months of delivery data as default. Let me know here, or on chat @umano.tech if you have any questions and I'll do my best to see if we can help you get the observability you need.
Deliver well!
Chris
