How I can change Default entities during project creation ?

Hi,

during the project creation I would:

  1. Default Permission schema should be the default instead of Defalt Software schema
  2. jira-users under the project (People) should not present

Is it feasible ?

Thank you very much in advance

Hello Roberto,

Unfortunately, both options above are not able to be changed before the project creation, so the best option I recommend you would be to create a "template project" as you want and select the option Create with shared configuration for the next projects you create, so it will be created with the Permission Scheme and configurations as you need:

Hi thank you very much also if works for point 1 and does not work for point 2.

I don't want jira-users under the project (People) :(

Hello Roberto,

To define/remove which groups you want to add be added by default to a role in the people tab, you can navigate to JIRA Settings > System > Project Roles and click to Manage Default Members, so you will be able to add/remove which groups you want to be added to any specific role.

Hi @Petter Gonçalves clear and thank you very much!

My problem now is that the option  Share settings with an existing project is not longer available over the project creation as jira-users and is not clear to me why :(.

Create independent projects is set to Anyone

Do you have an idea ?

Hello Roberto,

This is really strange. I can only think about three possibilities that can be causing it:

- JIRA new updates have been applied and, for some reason, removed this option - I would need your JIRA Cloud Version to confirm if this is the case.

- The current projects you have on your site does not support the feature. P.S: I think this is less probable since it has worked on this site before as you mentioned, correct?

- You don't have the permission to access/edit the settings of the existing projects on your site. Can you check if a different (Site-Admin) user is also not able to see this option?

Hi Petterson

1) where is the jira cloud version ?

2) right ..before all the jira-users were able to see all the templates and the checkbox "Share settings...."

3) as admin i can see all the templates and "Share settings...."

Thank you very much

Hello Roberto,

The version of your JIRA Cloud can be checked on the "?" Icon (About JIRA), at the bottom-left corner of JIRA Application.

Hello Roberto,

The version you are using is the same as mine, which has complicated this issue a little bit.

I believe that may be a feature flag or detail has been changed on your site, however, we will need you to contact our Support team in order to further investigate this.
