In Jira Service Desk, I want customers to be able to specify one (or more) participants (other customers/non-Users) at the time they create the request so that the participant(s) get notifications when the request is acted upon.
I have been able to implement adding Watchers upon request creation, by creating a custom filed that is copied to Watchers field using post function. But, Participant is not a field available as a destination field.

Currently, it's not possible to add request participants at the moment the ticket is created. We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
