How can I add an issue while viewing a next gen board?

When I am working on a next-gen board, is there a way to add a new issue to the current sprint without having toL

1. change the view to backlog
2. add the issue
3. move it into the current sprint

Can I add an issue to a current sprint without having to go through these steps?

you can create an issue using the "+" and as long as you have the sprint field in the create you can add it there.
