How can I add an item to a customized field which is a drop-down list

Hi 

I need some help to add an extra item to a customized field which is drop-down list.

I tried going into Settings>Fields>Customized Fields .I can seen all the screens that the field is visible on, but I need to go one step further and see  how the field was set up and how the drop-down list behind it was created.

I have to mention that I am really disappointed with Jira as with every release everything changes and it becomes more difficult to find what I need. With every release, there is something wrong with Jira it changes its fields it's really frustrating.

Please help me.

Which version of jira are you using and this is self-hosted or Cloud?

Go to Admin  --> Issues --> Custome Fields and then find the Field which you want to add the one more value as a Dropdown.

Once you find that field beside to that field click on Cog item and then select Configure and then Edit the Option and add it.
