We have new team member and I have already set up permissions and given required roles to her. But when I try to assign and existing issue to her, I dont see her name/userid/email id coming up in "Assignee" field.
However, her name comes up just fine on "Reporter" field which is weird. I am using old view of JIRA still.
Can someone suggest how I can resolve this asap.
Thanks!
The user does not have "assignable user" permission. This will be because they either are a disabled account, or the permission scheme does not include them in the rules for assignable user (note - not assign issue, it must be assignable user)
Here are the roles included for "Assignable User" and the user already has 3 roles from this list

Ok, next checks are what @Stuart Capel - London said - is the user enabled, have they logged in at least once, and are they in the "can use Jira" group? (You can check all of this in one go by asking them if they can login and see the issue you're trying to assign to them)

@Himank Walia Does the user have product access?
Is this in Jira Service Management / Work Management / Software?

You mentioned it's a new user - have they definitely signed in yet? If it says 'no activity' next to the user in User settings then you'll need to wait until they login to try assigning to them

It's worth checking the permission scheme for your project under project settings.
I would check to be sure the roles she has have 'assignable user' permission.
Can she access other projects? Is it this project or all?

I have already checked for "assignable user" permissions and assigned the roles accordingly to this user.
