How can I automatically fill fields when creating a TASK from an EPIC?

Dear All,

I would like to know how can I setup in the Automation the followings: 

When the user creates a TASK from an EPIC, automatically fill in the Client, Type and Budget fields with same values as EPIC.

These fields are drop-down menu and radio button types.

The rule what I created is not working.

Please help.

Hi @Krisztina TEGLASI ,

In your automation rule, you need to copy field value from the Epic to Task.

When Issue created

If Issue Type = Task

Then Copy fields

First of all, thank you for your answer.

The 3. step is not clear, because I can not find this option "Copy fields"

Could you please share a  screenshot about the last steps?

Hi @Krisztina TEGLASI 

Sorry for the confusion.

Instead of the Copy field, it should be the Edit Issue field option. Then select the fields and copy value from Epic issue.
