How can I change the priority of a subtask that I created?

Hi everybody,

for a task in our JIRA I created a subtask and filled in all relevant fields. Unfortunately there is no possibility to chang the priority during subtask creation nor afterwards since this field is not shown - neither during creation nor when editing the subtask.

Also the priority of the parent task is not automatically taken over but the subtask got created with lowest priority.

The only workaround I could find so far is to start a bulk operation, select the subtask in question, then select edit and afterwards select priority field and change its value.

But is there really no easier way to change the subtask priority?

Hi @Reth ,

You just need to add the Priority field under Subtask Issue Type Edit Screen after that It will be editable for you.

Go to the project setting>>Screens>>Subtask Issue type Screen>>Edit Screen>>Add Priority field.

Hello, On the sub-task you will have the option to change the priority as shown in the image. If the field is not editable then you need to check if priority field is added to edit screen as well.

Thank you. So seems I need to talk to our admins then - cannot edit these settings myself.

Field is read only for us.
