How can I change the time field settings for the Timeline in Jira Board?

By default, the Timeline in Jira Board uses “Start date” and “Due date” as time fields. I need to replace them with our custom fields. 

How should I configure this?

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Unfortunately, the Jira board Timeline view (like the one shown in your screenshot) is currently hardcoded to only use the following system fields:

• Start date

• Due date

You cannot configure it to use custom fields in place of those at this time.

[JRACLOUD-91648] Allow Jira Board Timeline to use custom Start and End Dates - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

If you want to use custom date fields  in your timeline, please use advanced road maps.
