How can I configure a custom field to show releases as in "Fix Versions" field?

I created a new custom field. I want its potential content to be the same as "Fix Versions" which is showing the list of releases.

How can I do that?

In order to create a custom field that gets its values from versions, just like fix versions and affected versions, you have to use one of the two version picker field types which you can find under Advanced when creating the custom field.
