Recently I when I view work items I have been presented with an AI summary of the work item automatically as shown below (I find it amusing that it refers to the work item as a "ticket"):
I find this quite annoying as it pushes the comments down the page and I have to click the X button to close the AI overview. I suppose my annoyance stems from the fact that I am the assignee so I'm already intimately aware of all details in the work item. I don't see this overview every time I view a work item but sometimes for a particular work item which I might view six times in one day I get this overview more than once.
While this doesn't "break" anything in my workflow it is very annoying and I can't find a setting anywhere to disable this feature. I also don't understand why the feature wasn't implemented as a button for the user to click when they want to see the overview as that would reduce compute usage on the Atlassian side.
Does anyone have any idea how I can disable this for myself? I am a site admin so in theory I could disable it globally but I'm not sure that I can get approval to do that.
Hi @Rick Westbrock ,
Interesting behavior indeed. I always have to click on the summarize comments button for this part to pop up.
Now, I would suggest trying to 'decipher' cases when it represents itself even without having to click on the button 👀
Maybe you could even try to reach out to Support to see if they can make any additional background checks.
Now, as for disabling specific AI features, this isn't possible (either on global or personal level), but there's a feature request for it: ROVO-107: Enhanced Granular Control Over AI Features (it's all dropped under 'ROVO' but this applies to AI features as well)
Cheers,
Tobi
