I can find Jira Home in the UI in System Info but not the install directory.
You sure? I'm looking at one that end in /conf
(folder)/jira/conf
I'm assuming the install directory is everything up to and including /jira but /conf is a subfolder of the install directory, isn't it? Doesn't that imply that the working directory could be something else?

"Working directory" is usually the directory the application server is running in (The Tomcat, not Jira). There should be a full path labelled "Jira home" in the system info page

Thank you @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- for the information.

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist-thanks, but Jira Home wasn't what I was trying to get. I was trying to get the install folder. Yes, Jira Home is as you mentioned, present in the System Info, but not the install folder.
