How can I force Jira to import existing emails (Mail handler)

Hello! We have configured a mail handler and new mails are imported to JIRA as new issues what works great. However, we also have some old mails in that inbox that we want to be processed and imported into JIRA issues. Is this possible? Do you know how to accomplish this?

...the last section says that mail handlers will process only emails where the Sent data is within the last 7 days. So, it sounds like the only way to get those old emails processed is to resend them so that the Sent date will fall within the 7 day window.
