How can I get my Spike cards to show up in the backlog?

I am able to see all issue types used (with the exception of Spike cards) from my backlog. 

I created a spike card, I can find it when searching the card number from my most recently created cards, but when I switch to the backlog (since this card is in a future sprint) I can't see it listed.

Hi @Cyn -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Have you checked with your project admin to learn if the board (and backlog) filter contain the spike issue type?  If they are excluded that could explain what you are describing.

Hi, Some more information will help understand the problem. The image of backlog you have shared includes the sprint backlog also?

Correct, The backlog contains future sprints that we have planned and I can see all Issue types except Spike issues. As an admin, I'm trying to figure this out for myself. Of all the settings options I've found there doesn't seem to be anything excluding this issue type.
