We utilize a project for one of our teams that's work spans across other teams/project. Through JQL, I am able to pull in that work and it is viewable in both the Kanban Board and the Backlog.
However, when I perform a release of the DONE items on the board, it only grabs the stories that were actually living in the project. I can understand this logically as you are running the release on the project but is there a way to get the other stories that lived outside the project to be contained inside the release?
If not, then I will just create a save query to grab items during certain date ranges and so on.
Hello Joseph,
I understand that you would like to add a single version/release for issues in multiple projects. Is it correct?
Unfortunately, it is not possible at this moment to achieve this functionality, since releases are restricted to a single project. We have a feature request to improve this:
- Create versions on multiple projects
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
For now, you can search in Atlassian marketplace for apps that could give you similar functionality, like Release Board for Jira, that provides you a single view of your project versions making easier to administer cross-project versions.
Let me know if you have any questions.
