How can I have one Version apply to many projects? Using Jira "Cloud"

I have a few projects that organize my teams' structure, mapped to the consumer products that we offer. Usually they don't overlap but we now have a big initiative that ties some of the consumer products together.

I want to have a Fix Version be able to contain all the stories related to this, but it looks like versions can only apply to a single project. Can I change this somehow?

I am the company admin for Jira so I have all the "rights" needed, hypothetically.

I'm afraid versions are (still) project level artefacts, they don't go across projects like that.

For JIRA Server there exists add-ons that can synchronize versions among projects. (Those are technically separate version instances, but at least the add-on keeps their consistent, etc.)

They may also be existing for cloud, run a search on Atlassian Marketplace.
