How can I hide a specific field in a sub-task when that field is selected in the parent task in Jira Cloud? I’m able to lock the field value, but I’m not able to hide the field itself. Can someone please help or provide guidance on this?
Hello @Ramesh
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
What type of project does this concern? Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu, looking at the Type column for your project in the list.
You said you want to hide the field when it is selected in the parent issue? Do you mean when a value is entered in that field in the parent issue?
Jira does not natively have the capability of hiding a field based on conditions. That would require a third party app like Behaviours in ScriptRunner from Adaptavist. Are you willing to consider getting an app to meet your requirement?
Yes i have third party app like Behaviours in ScriptRunner In JIRA cloud i want fix this issue is that field has a dropdown box with several string values. When a specific value is selected for the 'Primary MZR Location' field in the parent ticket, the same field in the sub-task should be hidden if it matches the selected value, as shown in the uploaded image. Could you please provide me the sollution in JIRA cloud.

Unfortunately for you, no, I can't provide the completed solution for you. I don't have that solution built and don't have the bandwidth at this time to develop it.
If you have the Adaptavist Behaviours app I suggest you start by reviewing the documentation for it:
https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4jc/latest/features/behaviours
And review the other documentation provided by Adaptavist to learn about scripting.
There is also a video provided by Adaptavist that show code for conditionally hiding a field based on information in another field in the same issue. There is not an example specifically for hiding a field based on a value in the parent issue, but I believe that should be possible.
