How can I list which Jira projects or Confluence spaces associates with a particular group of a site

Cloud Chiu January 13, 2020

In my Atlassian Cloud site, I use group to add members and assign the group to Jira projects or Confluence spaces.  How can I list which Jira projects or Confluence spaces associates with a particular group?

Hello @Cloud Chiu

Welcome to Atlassian Community.

Per your description, I understand that you would like to have a clear view of all the Projects and Confluence Spaces accessible by each group on your site.

Unfortunately, Jira does not have that kind of view for groups right now, but we understand how this would be useful depending on the way you administer your site permissions.

That being said, we created the following feature requests to add that kind of view:

Group usage - List of project permission per group

Display group that have the access permission for each space

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

As a workaround for Jira projects, project roles display a list of each project they are related to, so you can configure groups to always be related to their specific role (With the same name) and use the role list under Jira Settings > System > Project Roles.

P.S: Please be aware that this workaround is not the ideal solution since a project admin could still add the group to a different role in their project by mistake.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
