How can I make Issue Link "Invisible"?

I Would like to have an Issue Link to be used only "Behind the scenes"

like listeners and filters etc

BUT!!

user can't see them' use them link or unlink and even see the linked issues in Issue Linkes

is there a way?

I don't think it is possible.

(I'd try if making the other end-point of the link "invisible" solves your use case, but a link itself cannot be made invisible AFAIK.)

In the original post, you suggested that the other end-points are issues, as well. (Note that you can link other entities like Confluence pages or arbitrary URLs, too.) What if you made the linked issues not accessible for the user?

You can do so by:

  1. set their Security Level to hide these from the user
  2. or you can move them to a project that is not accessible by the user

Ahha

I see, no, that will not work

I do want to let the user access the 2 end-points

but using other ways.

for example : I am using an add on called Issue Matrix

that provide formatted table of issues as alternative to the Linked Issues panel

and I want my automation to handle the links

cause if a user delete or create a link directly that will break the data model 

as the automation is doing more things when constructing and removing links.

10x any way, I am still looking.
