How can I make issues which have a status of rejected have a resolution of done?

Karen Muskett November 29, 2018

We have a couple of projects which have issues in which have been rejected but when this happens the resolution field is Unresolved which means that these issues still appear to be open issues on the default Jira queries.

How do I change this so that when an issue has its status changed to rejected the resolution field is also updated?

Sorry if this is already answered elsewhere - I have looked for help but can't find the information  want.

Thanks!

the resolution needs to be set in a transition so you should be setting it to rejected in a transition that either shows the resolution field on the screen or sets it to Rejected in a post function.

Hi @Karen Muskett,

It is totally possible, you need to put transitions screen and show the field resolution in that screen.

When you have had configured this screen in the transition "reject" you are going to have the posiblity of select the value on the resolution field.

I hope this help, you can read more about this in this link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/mapping-a-screen-to-a-workflow-transition-720634253.html

I hope this help,
Adrián.

Thanks Adrián.  It's such a long time since I set up our instance and I just couldn't find the correct place to make the change!
