How can I make the subtask due date appear next to the assignee's name?

Melanie Calothi August 30, 2024

When I've worked in Jira previously, I've always been able to see the due date in subtasks alongside the initials of the assignee. This doesn't seem possible in the Jira project I'm working in. I've gone to the configure page to try and figure it out but no luck. Can anyone assist?

Hi @Melanie Calothi ,

As per my knowledge this feature is not available in jira cloud. We can't configure subtask columns on the parent task.

There is already open suggestion with Atlassian. Please check.

Hi @Melanie Calothi ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

As a Jira admin you can configure which fields are being displayed by editing the value of jira.table.cols.subtasks, see https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-sub-tasks-938847874.html

The above workaround worked previously but now it's not working.

I found a Suggestion request for the same.

Hi @Melanie Calothi

welcome to the community!

as already suggested, this isn't currently possible, however if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you should get pretty close; see e.g. this thread for possible directions forward.

Best, Hannes
