I don't like to rank the backlog manualy. I wished do it with filters by configure board. I added in example: resolution = Unresolved ORDER BY "Story Points" DESC
In result I get only unresolved issues but the order by did nothing. Is there a different solution?
Hi @Martin Bannatz , welcome to the community.
It seems you are confusing ranking with sort order. Understandable since, with ranking on it sort of overrides order by or makes it secondary.
if you don't wish to use ranking you should go onto your board settings and disable it. Then your filters can sort them the way you want. Please note that ranking has more of an impact on issues throughout the lifecycle of an issue. Specifically when you move issues into a sprint or onto a kanban board then the ranking continues to play role. With order by this is not the case, i.e. your backlog filter order by will not carry over to the board.
Oops...I instructed you incorrectly here...so sorry. Ranking is enabled/disabled via the filter. So if your backlog filter is resolution = Unresolved ORDER BY "Story Points" DESC then I would expect the backlog would sort the issues by the story point field highest to lowest. I will test out on my instance.

Hi friends,
thank you very much for your answers. In the meantime I were able to solve my issue. My mistake was to align the filter from the board with the quick filters.

Hi Martin - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I would try that same query in the Advanced Search function and see if it yields the results you are looking for.
Also, when you look at the board itself (not the Backlog) are they ordered correctly there? Just remember that the board filter will affect the entire board - not just the Backlog.
