We have integrated Jira into our Zendesk through an app and would like to know how we can search jira tickets using Zendesk IDs.
Although I can see the Zendesk Ticket details when I am in an actual jira ticket, the problem starts when I don't know the Jira ticket and only have the Zendesk ID. I need to be able to do a search in Jira using the Zendesk ID to show jira tickets linked to that Zendesk ID
I know I can create a custom field and name it Zendesk ID, Im just not sure if there is a way to automatically map the Zendesk ID to that custom field based on our integration.
Hope someone can help me.
Thanks !

I think you are nearly there already! My approach would have been the same i.e. have a custom field in Jira issue populated with the ZD id. If you are syncing between ZD and Jira using Exalate, you can achieve this simple use case with an no-code configuration. In addition to this, you can add a lot of value to your integration by controlling the sync at a granular level to sync whatever data you want bi-directionally between the two systems.
Please feel free to book a demo with us if you are interested in seeing the product in action.
Thanks

Hi, @Armi Trixia Vitanzos , you can automatically map the Zendesk ID in question to the custom field.
My name is Diana and I am a solutions architect at ZigiWave. Our no-code integration platform ZigOps is made to help solve problems like yours in no time. It allows the transfer of default & custom fields between the systems and syncs them in real-time. It also connects the systems bi-directionally. Our tool reads the schema dynamically and can transfer any field. If you want to see how it works in action: book a technical demo.
