Hello together,
we have a customfield called "Location" (Userfield). Is it possible to create a follow-up function which sets this field to a specific user?
For example: set "location" to "bt".
Thanks for your help.
Björn
Hi Björn,
the workflow function is called "Update Issue Custom Field" or in German (Assuming you're German because of your name) "Inhalt von Benutzerdefiniertem Feld setzen".
I have just tested this function on our instance and it does exactly what you need. The custom field I tested with is of type "Benutzerauswahl", I think the English name is "user picker".
Hope this helps
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
thank you very much. This helps alot. I´ve another questen. Maybe you can help me.
Is it possible to create a follow-up function which sends a mail to a specific user or group? For example to one of our groups called "Verwaltung".
Best regards,
Björn

Hi Björn, you can do that with a custom event for that workflow step: - Create a new event (Ereignis) (System -> erweitert -> Ereignisse) - look at the follow-up function of your workflow step and change the event (Startet ein Ereignis ...) to your new event - open the notification scheme of your project or create a new one - add the new notification (with the name of your new event) to your scheme - in the following form, you can add your group "Verwaltung" to be notified by your new event - if a project uses the changed workflow and the new or changed notification scheme, your group will be notified when the event happens Cheers Thomas

Hi Thomas,
thank you for your answer. We ´ve already tried this plugin. But we cannot find the new follow-up function. Do we have to configure something special? We are not able to find the mistake.
Kind regards
Björn

Hi Björn,
you can do that with the JIRA Suite Utilities Plugin. It is described here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=310378700
Cheers
Thomas
