How can I set the default issue type to unselected?

Hi,

I've set the project and issue types to default: none. But still when I create a new issue for a project it automatically selects one as default. I want to have this field empty/unselected to force the reporter to think about and pick an appropriate issue type. Can this be done? Thanks!

Hi Joeri,

you can't set the default to none. There's a statement from Atlassian here:
