How can I switch to a different priority scheme?

Hello together,
I just wanted to change a priority scheme because one of our teams wants to use different priorities. We have created several schemes, with different priorities. Now I have the problem that when assigning another schema, the field value migration is not only offered for the current project, but a value for the existing projects of the changed schema should be adjusted and I don't know why.

I have a new scheme with completely different priorities. What would happen if I assign a new value to the upper value "Minor" here?

I just want to change the existing scheme to a new one.

Greetings

Hi @Tobias

How many projects are associated with the original priority scheme?

Are there already projects associated with the newly created priority scheme?

Hey @Dave Mathijs

the scheme which is currently associated is used in 6 projects. Now I want to associate a different one, which is already assigned to some projects (the projects on top of the screenshot).

I am not sure, what happens when I set a new value for the "Minor" priority. I only want to switch from my current scheme to a different one which is already in use.

You basically need to map the values from the old scheme to the existing value of the new schem.

If - for example - Minor doesn't exist in the new scheme, then you need to choose another existing value.

This means that all issues with priority "Minor" will change to the priority you have chosen in the new scheme.

Hey, @Dave Mathijs
what puzzles me a bit is that the new scheme has different priorities than the one currently assigned. What I would have expected is that I have to do a mapping of the currently existing priorities. That would explain the lower part as well. However, I now have the problem that I don't know why I should assign the "Minor" priority twice. I don't want to change anything in the existing projects of the new scheme to be assigned.
