How can Ihide the field from the task screen the no one can excellently edit it?

I would like to Hide a field Reopen count from the task screen, so no one can edit it,  but wouldlike to keep the option to find this field (to be stored somewhere), so i can search statistics by it using JQL. How can i do it?
