Hi Peter - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I don't think I fully understand what you are trying to do. Maybe you could post the question in your own language? We'll take a shot at translating.  ;-)

Hi @Peter

You'll need to change the order of your transitions.

To do this you'll either need to be a:

  • Project Admin: The workflow cannot be shared with another project and you'll need the Extended Admin permission - if not...
  • Jira Admin

To rearrange the transitions using the example above:

  1. Go to Project Settings > Workflows
  2. Click to view the required workflow
  3. Press "Edit". If there is an "Edit" button as a Project Admin - you can modify it. If not, you'll need to be a Jira Admin.
  4. Each arrow is a transition - in this instance, you might first remove the arrow from "In Progress" to "Waiting for Customer". Click on the arrow to see an option to do this.
  5. Then, if you hover over the status "Waiting for Approval", little circles will appear around the status. Click and hold, dragging an arrow from this status to "Waiting for Customer" - creating a new transition
  6. If this is sufficient, press "Publish" to make this modified workflow active in your project

^ Using the edit screen, you can modify whatever transitions you need to make the ideal flow :)

Hi @Ste Wright ,

Thanks but I dont want to move it, maybe I asked in wrong way.

In our scenerio, status positions right.
I started worked in progress. Then I go approval.
If I want to move on customer, I need yo send back from approval.

But I want add a condition in there (Customer transition). Who can't go to approval, can't go customer.

I hope I could express well, thanks again for your help.

Hi @Peter

Can I try to clarify what you're looking for:

  • You start work during "In Progress"
  • Then, an issue must got to "Waiting for Approval"
  • Once it has been through "Approval" - it's free to move back to "In Progress", before moving on to "Waiting for Customer"
  • However, it should not be going direct to "Waiting for Customer" from "In Progress" - it requires "Approval" at least once first

Is this the process you're looking to implement?
