How can we change the name of a sprint that has been closed?

We are currently using GH 6.1.2 and JIRA 5.1.5.

A user needs to change the name of a closed sprint because it did not conform to a required naming convention. Please tell me how this can be done. Before asking why we would care, please understand that we're a large company with over 10,000 jira users and many rigidly enforced process contraints. Surely there is a way to do this, but I don't see it.

I think the only way to do that is updating the record in the database table AO_60DB71_SPRINT.
