How can we create an epic link in a team-managed project such that, when the epic link is selected in a task, the parent issue automatically updates to reflect the epic that was chosen in the epic link?

Hi @Samuelraj - Team-managed projects do not use epic link.  They use parent.  To make sure I'm on the same page, you're trying to accomplish something like this:

• Task has some type of link relationship to other issue types (e.g. story). For example...
  • Task blocks user story
• When the task's parent (Epic) is updated, you want the same Epic to be applied to the linked story.

If this is what you're trying to achieve, you can use automation to accomplish it. Using the example above:

• TRIGGER: Field Value Changed (Parent)
• CONDITION: Issue Type = Task
• BRANCH (link type = blocks)
  • ACTION: Edit Issue
    • Parent = Copy from trigger Issue
