How can we import tickets including comments from pivotal tracker to JIRA

Hi,

Since Pivotal Tracker will shut down in April 2025, we plan to use JIRA as our product management tool. We have exported data from Pivotal and were trying to import it into JIRA, however, the CSV importer maps only a few of the JIRA fields like summary, description, and issuetype, but it doesn't have the option to import comments. Is there an alternate way to import this data?

Hello, Good day. With .CSV file import, you should be able to import comments as well. Example is available in https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/create-comment-using-csv-import-on-behalf-of-another-author-1224770916.html. You can ignore the AAID and date in your file. Thanks
