How can you delete an entry (Sprint) on a user story in Jira?

One of our users added an incorrect sprint to a user story in Jira for our project. I need to know how to delete that entry on the user story. The sprint number he used belonged to another project and Jira will not allow me to edit that entry.

Hello,

You need to have the Edit permission for the story and the Sprint field must be in the Edit issue view for this issue type. Then you can remove the value in the Sprint field for the issue.
