When I try to rank an issue in my plan (Backlog plan with Theme, Initiative, Epic and Stories) I move the theme, or the epic, even the stories to the top and to the bottom, but the issue doesn´t move as described here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfolioserver/ranking-issues-967895243.html#Rankingissues-behaviorchange

It remains in the same where and I´m not able to move it. It appears as a red line when I try to move up and down.

Hi @Rafaela Pereira Cunha Conde Dias

Welcome to the Community!!

Can you please check your board configuration filter whether it includes the JQL as below

project = project-key order by Rank Asc

Let me know, in order to rank your issues, you need to have "Order by Rank" in JQL

Thanks,
Pramodh

Adding to what @Pramodh M mentioned, I would check the board settings again to make sure that ranking is in play.

I have seen scenarios where at times, the ranking doesn't kick in until you force it from the board settings page.

  1. Go to your board
  2. Click the ... and select Board Settings
  3. Select General under settings
  4. Search for Rank and if you see the button Add Rank, click on it.

This will add ranking to your board for you.

This is an alternative to the solution from @Pramodh M
