I use jira to organise my life. As such, I have my school tasks in jira, along with class notes in comments.
For my music classes i need to be able to enter musical symbols such as 𝄬𝄞𝅘𝅥𝅮 into my text. When I do so, Jira can't connect to the server or complains "We can't create this issue for you right now, it could be due to unsupported content you've entered into one or more of the issue fields."
My collations are all set correctly, so what gives? How can I work around this?
Hi @Bearcat M_ Şándor
What value do you have on webwork.i18n.encoding ?
You can check on Administration->System Info
Here's an article on how to troubleshoot this problem.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/troubleshoot-character-display-issues-in-jira-server-203394762.html
Hope this helps you.
I have webwork.i18n.encoding UTF-8. I also followed the advice of the link above and added -Dfile.encoding=utf-8 and -Dsun.jnu.encoding=UTF-8 to my startup JVM parameters.
I still see the same errors.

I tried 𝄬𝅘𝅥𝅮 inserting them on powerpoint (insert symbol option)
so I can add them on Jira (because I dont have internet access ) and I dont have any problems on commenting the issue, adding them on summary or description.
So, I guess is something else.
I hope you find the solution.
