How do I change what is shown when browsing an issue

Jason Burrows February 14, 2019

I have been able to change what is shown when editing an issue, and when viewing an issue in the panel to the right of the board/backlog - but when you click on the issue number and end up at the URL 'https://<company>.atlassian.net/browse/<issue number>' nothing there changes seemingly no mater what I configure.

How do I change this screen to show my fields and remove the ones we don't use?  We use story points and its been a huge pain to move over to that.

Hi @Jason Burrows

Check through your screen schemes to see which is being used as the view screen.

Create, edit, and view are all using the same scheme.  The scheme correctly includes the fields and is confirmed by clicking on the associated screen for any of these views (in configure project -> screens).

Note that the view works as I have configured when I click on the ticket and it shows as a preview to the side of the backlog and board, but when I click on the ticket ID from within that preview it goes to the URL provided in my question, that view doesn't change regardless of what I select.

So for edits and creates it is working.  For view - it is working as configured in 2 of the 3 places I know how to view a ticket.  It is only at the https://<company>.atlassian.net/browse/<issueNumber> location that it is not working as configured.

There seems to only be one 'view' category that I can configure though - so I'm not sure why it is showing the correct fields in some of the areas where I can view and not the one accessed from the above link.
