How do I clone a project hierarchy

I am working with Jira 7.8.2 Server

I cannot make use of plugins so I need to use creative out-of-the-box with Jira Core and Jira Software (and Confluence)

I am implementing Portfolio > Program > Delivery Team hierarchy using ProjectA > (a set of) ProjectBs > (a further subset of) ProjectCs

And I'm using IssueLinking to drill down and Project Shortcuts (on the left hand side) to come back up again.

I'd like to copy this entire hierarchy;  the cost of doing the connecting after cloning all the individual projects could be quite cumbersome (although I'm still to do R&D on that so that is an assumption on my part).

Technically, though:  is it possible to clone a set of linked projects en-bloc so once I have a template "Portfolio > Program(s) > Delivery Team(s)" hierarchy, can I copy this?
