Hello,
have cloned a board because the steps are always the same. I want to be able to clone a project template every time a project stands.
How do I clone without generating dependencies. the cloned project should be single project and the tasks should not move on the board.
Thanks
Hi @Firdevs Betül Pehlivan
we've built an app 'Project Templates for Jira' for your use case that allows to create custom project templates based on existing projects, or based on Jira native templates.
In the custom project templates you can add additional project content like components, versions, boards. You can also specify a custom set of predefined issues or simply select a source project to clone the issues including their hierarchy, status and other details.
In regards to boards, if you clone a board manually, the board will use the initial filter which shows the issues from the initial project. You need to create a new filter, that shows issues from the new project, is shared with the project and has the intended board administrator as filter owner. The app does this for you.
Hi @Firdevs Betül Pehlivan, and welcome to the community!
Our app Deep Clone for Jira can clone your whole project, including its whole issue hierarchy, with our Project Clone feature.
With Advanced Project Clone, you also can copy boards of company-managed projects, although you might need to change your filters afterward depending on the filters of the source board.

Hello @Firdevs Betül Pehlivan
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Can you provide more information about what you are trying to accomplish when you say you want to clone a project?
Are you trying to create a new project with the same configuration as an existing project, and without any of the issues in the referenced project?

Hello,
i am trying to clone the same project with the same tasks, bugs, epics and subtasks. but the boards are dependent on each other if i move a task, the tasks will move on all boards. my goal is same tasks, bugs, epics and subtasks but different boards.
Thank you

What process are you actually using to create this clone?
If you use the native option to Copy a board, you will make a replica of the board that uses the same filter as the original board. That means the board will show the same issues from the same project as the original board. Boards are just a way to view and manipulate issues so if you make some change to issue ABC-123 in one board you are changing the issue itself. That change will be reflected in any board that displays issue ABC-123.
There is no native function to clone a project to create a new project with its own copy of all the issues from the original project. There are third party apps that enable you to do that, and there are other native work arounds that can be used such as CSV import of the issues into the new project or Automation Rules.
