How do I download all attachments for all the issues listed in a Jira project?

I need to retrieve all attachments for each of the Jira issues opened in a Jira project?  How do I go about doing this using Jira Rest API?  I am new to Jira so any information will help.  I were told that we can only use basic authentication.  Also, can I do this using curl command?
