How do I enable autotransition of Parent Tasks when Allow all statuses transition to this one is on

Hello,

I am currently trying to enable the auto-transition of parent tasks when sub-tasks are moved between statuses. On other workflows I have this working, however they are more structured and have a defined order of transition. 

For the workflow that I am having trouble trying to automate, I have enabled the "Allow all statuses to transition to this one" as the users require the ability to move issues between all statuses freely. However, I have been unable to trigger automatic transition of parent tasks using post functions as used in other workflows. 

Is anyone aware of a way that I can solve this? 

I'm more than happy to provide further information below if required.

We are using Jira Cloud and JMWE add-on.

Hi Joshua,

"global" transitions are supported the same way as regular transitions. Did you investigate why it's not working for you?

Hi David, 

I have spent a rather large sum of time investigating why it is not working, even going as far as to create individual transitions between each and every status with post functions and conditions enabled to transition the parent task if all sub-tasks were in X status or above/below. However, that did not work. I'm definitely at a loss with this.
