How do I get a list of advanced functions like versionmatch()?

edern October 12, 2021

Hi,

I recently learned about very convenient functions versionmatch() and componentmatch().

I did not find any documentation about them here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver0813/advanced-searching-functions-reference-1027135329.html

Do I look at the wrong place?

I'm sure I miss some other great functions. Where can I get an exhaustive list of those advanced functions?

Thanks in advance

There's no single place you can get a list of advanced functions because a lot of them are added by different apps (and hence vendors)

Componentmatch and versionmatch come from Scriptrunner ( https://docs.adaptavist.com/es/latest/functions/match-functions ) but other advanced functions are built into Jira (  https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/advanced-searching-functions-reference-939938746.html ) and then there are others such as J-tricks which do a lot of general functions and others that add functions related to the app's main purpose (for example, test management apps mostly add functions related to searching for test results and the contents of plans)
